Lives of tens of thousands of residents put at risk. Freedom of information requests establish that 100s of tower blocks in the capital have no legally required Fire risk assessment in place. First time this survey undertaken.

London Fire Brigade shocked and ask for my research. Lambeth only 2 of 112 completed. Residents finding they cannot get answers from their local authority landlords. Those enforcing the law, the London Fire Brigade, say they struggle to get landlords to accept their responsibility. I name some of the authorities who failed to respond to our FOI request.

Research conclusion: More work needs to be done to raise awareness of residents of their rights to information. Policing of the FRAs needs overhaul.
